On the Nature of Timeless Design

Elena Marquez | December 18, 2025 | 12 min read

In the end, we design not for eternity, but for the people who will encounter our work—today, tomorrow, and in the years to come. The question of timelessness is really a question of humanity: what are the constants of human perception, cognition, and emotion that our work can honor? When we answer that question well, timelessness takes care of itself.
