Driving Innovation, Resilience, and Green Transformation through Net-Zero Technologies

The 1st Global Initiative on Adoption of Net-zero Technology Summit 2026 (1st GIANTS 2026) is an annual international academic forum organized by The Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, Universitas Islam Negeri Raden Mas Said Surakarta, Indonesia. The conference will be conducted in hybrid format on 09, September 2026. The theme of the conference is "Bridging Innovation and Environmental Sustainability: Technology as a Catalyst for Net-Zero Transition." This theme underscores the transformative role of technology in reshaping how businesses and industries navigate the global transition toward net-zero emissions. Technology adoption is understood as a strategic and deliberate process through which organizations integrate emerging innovations — including artificial intelligence, renewable energy systems, and smart manufacturing — into their core operations to reduce carbon footprints and advance environmental sustainability. Net-zero transition is positioned as both an urgent global imperative and a long-term business opportunity, requiring coordinated action across sectors, disciplines, and national boundaries. The summit highlights the dynamic relationship between technological innovation, business strategy, and environmental responsibility in addressing the escalating climate crisis. Achieving net-zero targets demands not only the development of cutting-edge technologies but also a deeper understanding of the organizational, economic, and policy conditions that enable or hinder their adoption at scale. Businesses that strategically embrace sustainable technologies are better positioned to contribute to global climate goals while maintaining competitiveness in an increasingly green economy. The 1st GIANTS 2026 aims to cultivate interdisciplinary dialogue among academics, researchers, business leaders, and policymakers on accelerating the adoption of net-zero technologies across industries. The summit provides a platform to examine how innovation can be effectively translated into sustainable business practices, while encouraging collaborative research and evidence-based discourse on building a resilient, low-carbon global economy .
